Volunteer Opportunities

Naperville Pom & Cheer is a not-for-profit organization that is only as successful as its volunteers. We are no longer requiring a volunteer fee from each family. We do hope that when we are in need and ask for your help during the season, you will still kindly assist us. Take a look at the descriptions below and don't be shy!

Coaches & Assistant Coaches: All of our coaches and assistants are parents just like you! No experience is necessary, we will assist you with learning cheers and motions. A maximum of only 3 coaches will be allowed since each squad will have no more than 15 girls.

We no longer are required to have our coaches attend a Protecting God's Children seminar. All coaches will be required to send in a background check. This form can be downloaded from the "Forms" tab of this website. We also require that two unrelated adults attend each practice. This can be a coach and assistant or coach/assistant and a parent.

If you are interested in being a coach or assistant coach, please check that line on the registration form.

Are you a middle school or high school student looking to volunteer? We welcome you to join us as junior coaches or assistants. If you are interested, please contact volunteer@napervillepomcheer.org so we can register you as an official jr. coach (high school students) or jr. assistant (middle school students). You can enjoy teaching the girls and earn service hours! High school students will still need an adult to supervise while you coach. Middle school students will only assist adult coaches in teaching cheers, dances, and calling out cheers at games. Middle school and high school students will need to be at least 2 years older than the oldest girl on the squad they are helping with. In the past, many of our young volunteers have told us how much they enjoyed this experience.

Emails will be sent out when we are needing volunteers.  Please respond to those emails if you would like to help.
